I'M CALLIE

I have been fortunate to serve thousands of tactical athletes on the topic of endurance fueling. From repeated 12-mile rucks and multi-day movements through austere environments to those who want to complete an Ironman or Ultramarathon "just for fun", I've coached them all.Ā

Combining my professional knowledge working on a multidisciplinary team with my own passion for outdoor sports and adventures lead to the creation of Fueling Upward LLC.Ā These experiences have allowed me to blend the world of performance nutrition with performance rehabilitation in order to better serve you!

MY STORY

I'm someone who loves a challenge. I've always pushed myself to be better not only professionally, but physically. After hanging up my college soccer cleats I picked up road running, then hiking, and now aim to lift heavy things and summit mountains. I've suffered my fair share of unexpected injuries but a concussion in my late 20s shifted my whole perspective on athletic performance and performance nutrition. This pivotal moment led me to explore the realms of integrative and functional nutrition, sparking a mission to bridge the gap between athletes, healthcare providers, and the advanced world of performance nutrition. Because being an athlete doesn't end with an injuryā€”it opens the door to conquering new challenges with resiliency and determination.

PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Callie has over 7 years of professional experience working as a Performance Dietitian with the United States Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), and Division I College Athletics at Washington State University. She brings her expertise to life through realistic education and strategies that focus on whole-person wellness and longevity, while still fueling the athlete and active lifestyles of those she serves.

Callie is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD). She is also Exercise Physiologist-Certified through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM EP-C). Callie obtained a Coordinated Masters of Science in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Exercise Physiology from Washington State University and a Bachelors of Science in Biokinetics and Human Bioenergetics with a minor in Psychology from Bethel University. She is a Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist (LDN) in Washington State and North Carolina.
